Well, here it is! One of my dreams, to have an accessories shop, has come to fruitition. Although it is just a space that exists on the web, I hope it to be a place where design and heart comes in front of saleability, showcasing the true strengths of these amazing artists. These are pieces that one wants to put on and just can`t hide them inside- take them out, wear it proudly, and know the story behind the piece (and each one has a distinct tale!).

The number of brands we carry are so far small, but will be adding more very soon. Frivolite's Shop space will be a hub for creative pieces not gathered together anywhere else on the web nor in a store.

マリジョリは以前このジャーナルで紹介したように、今とってもハマっているオリジナリティ＋エレガンスで溢れたアクセサリーブランド。

泡をモチーフに創られてる marijoli コレクション。
マリジョリのシグナチャーとなっている「レザー紐のハードなところ」と「金属のエレガンス」が対照的でクール。

「マリジョリ」は、スイス人デザイナーである Marielle Byworth（マリエル・バイワース）が,
来日後に立ち上げた東京発のブランド。
既に海外でも人気があり、ケイト・モスやマドンナ、そして国内では、安室奈美恵やモデルの道端ジェシカなどが愛用しています。BEAMS，TOMORROWLAND そして RESTIR というトップ・セレクトショップでも取り扱っているが、すぐ完売状態に・・・。近々大ブレークするブランドなので、今の内に手に入れると人に自慢できるでしょう・・・。


We begin with Marijoli, designed by Marielle Byworth. Her pieces are very distinct, with squiggles that she attributes to bubbles- I also think of them as the marks of aphids going at a leaf. In this way I find them organic yet modern, which I believe is a style that will be defining the new fashion generation.

次は新しく紹介したく、最近出会ったブランド　masaya nishimura。　このブランドはある総合展示会でウン百ものブランドを見た中でとても印象のこりました。　アクリルを特別な技術で石風に仕上げて、「モダン＋オーガニック」な感じが今度のファッション世代の代表的なスタイルになるだろう。


Our second brand, masaya nishimura, is one I encountered among hundreds at a large exhibition recently. I was immediately drawn to the "stones" on his pieces, which are made by special way of treating acrylic. Again, the organic and modern mix of his pieces here too, are a reflection of a growing culture in style.




I`m especially fond of these cuffs, thanks to the choice of colors. We currently have been able to get every piece from masaya nishimura's newest collection for Frivolite!

Designer Masaya Nishimura said he was inspired to make this collection by a plastic 'Las Vegas' snowblobe he had as a chlid. I`m pretty excited to see what he comes up with every season.
